The bookies have Melbourne City starting the season as the favourites to win the A-League title by a considerable margin compared to the rest of the field.

2022/23 minor premiers, Melbourne City are paying 4.00 to win the 2023/24 title after falling at the final hurdle, dominating throughout the regular season finishing the year with 55 points, 11 clear of eventual Grand Final winners the Central Coast Mariners.

The Mariners pulled the pants down on City, beating them 6-1 in the final, which now has them starting the new season as second-favourites to win the A-League title at 7.00 alongside the Western Sydney Wanderers at the same price.

Adelaide United, Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory come in close behind at 8.00 with Western United FC starting at 10.00. The rest of the field is at 15.00 or higher.

Melbourne City have won just one title after winning the Premier's Plate the last three seasons and losing the last 2 grand finals, losing their last two. They are going to be hard to beat again this season with UAE owners managing to keep their strong network of players at the club. The Mariners lost some talent but can never be counted out and the Wanders look to be a true challenger this season.

Only time will tell who will take home the A-League crown.
