NBL 2023/24 Winner Odds
It looks to be a four-horse race for the 2023/24 NBL Championship with riegning champions the Sydney Kings starting as favourites at 3.75 to take a third consecutive NBL title. Both last season's runner-up the NZ Breakers and the new-look Melbourne United have come into 5.00, tightly followed by the Perth Wildcats. The rest of the field will be classed as roughies in the 2023/24 NBL class with the price blowing out to 11.00 or more beyond the top-four contenders.

NBL 2023/24 Season Preview
The Sydney Kings won the NBL Championship in 2022/23 for the second consecutive season, beating the New Zealand Breakers 3-2 in the 5-match series. The Kings beat the Tasmanian JackJumpers 3-0 in the final of the 2021/22 season, in the first of their two NBL Championships, breaking their 17-year drought of winning the league.
There is plenty to be excited about around the 2023/24 NBL season with a load of player movement that is bound to shake things up. The inclusion of some genuinely talented up-and-coming Next Stars to the NBL, headlined by espn’s projected no.5 NBA draft pick Alexandre Sarr, playing for the Perth Wildcats, will certainly set the court alight this season.
The New Zealand Breakers proved in 2022/23 that just because you won the wooden spoon the year before, it doesn’t mean you can’t be a contender the following year, going all the way to the Grand Final last season after coming last the year prior.
The Sydney Kings will have the difficult challenge of defending their title for the second straight season, attempting to make it three NBL Championships in a row, a feat that has not been reached since the NZ Breakers in 2011,2012 and 2013.
The Kings main challenger will most definitely be Melbourne United, who have acquired the likes of Matthew Dellavedova, Jo Lual Acuil and Luke Travers, in their bid to regain the NBL Championship which Sydney took from them two years ago. The recruitment drive looks to have paid off already with Melbourne winning the NBL Blitz preseason tournament, which was held just a couple of weeks out from the opening tip-off to the 2023/24 NBL season.
Will Melbourne’s stacked team take the NBL Championship back from the Sydney Kings or will the NZ Breakers go one better than last season and win it all in 2023/24? Don’t count our Alexandre Sarr and the Perth Wildcats either. Who will be crowned NBL Champion is a tough call, which makes for an action-packed season for all us punters and fans out there.
